This blog post explains how to remove apps using the Windows Store for Windows 10 Apps with PowerShell.
# New-WindowsStoreProcessType –Type "StoreApp"
The New-WindowsStoreProcessType cmdlet creates a new instance of the WindowsStoreProcessType class in the runspaces of the current session. This cmdlet's syntax is as follows:
# New-WindowsStoreProcessType -Type
The Type parameter is a required parameter and allows you to specify the Windows Store Process Type (WSPX) that you want to use. The following cmdlets use this parameter.
# New-WindowsStore -WindowsStoreType "AppX"
The New-WindowsStore cmdlet creates a new instance of the WindowsStore class in the runspaces of the current session. This cmdlet's syntax is as follows:
# New-WindowsStore -WindowsStoreType
The WindowsStoreType parameter is required and specifies the Windows Store Type that you want to use.
Now, let's take a look at how to remove a Windows Store app. First, open the Windows Store in the Windows 10 app menu or open the Store app from the Start menu. Select Apps from the left pane. You see a list of all apps in the Windows Store app.
At the top of the left pane, you see the Store > Apps tab. At the bottom of the left pane, you see the Apps in your library > Manage tab. To remove an app, right-click the app, select Remove, and then press OK.
Here's a screenshot of the result. As you can see, the app has been removed from the Windows Store app and from your Windows 10 computer.
The Windows Store app uses the AppXStoreType and WSPX types for Microsoft Store apps. To remove the store app, you must use the AppXStoreType and WSPX types for Microsoft Store apps. If you use other types, you may get errors. For example, you could use the following cmdlet.
